baikal izh 46m pistol

Hi first message from a UK enthusiast. I have a Baikal IZH 46 M pneumatic pistol, it started to leak air so I replaced the seals with the spares kit that came with the gun, that stopped the leak. However on closing the breech block down it now slowly exhausts the air all the time. I have no qualms about stripping a gun down ( been doing it for 30 years )but this gun gives no indication of how you get to the valve. I have no manual and the trigger mech. looks a bitch. Can anyone help, or has anyone had this problem and sorted it OK?.

Baikal IZH46 Pistol

Hi thanks for the link, the diagram is great & the instructions even better. I started with the back of the pistol as it looked easier. When I took out the first two parts I found they had a thick gunky grease on them which seemed to have picked up fine particles, which I think are from the foam gun case liner, a quick clean, and all is restored. Thank you very much, I will now be a regular visitor to the forum and hope my experience can help others. Cheers

I remember hearing of this and it "has" been caused by

having the trigger weight
set too low.

I cannot remember which
site they were discussing this,
but if you have adjusted on your
trigger recently, may consider it.
